The Thor Brand You Probably Own
If your RV says Thor on the badge but Montana, Cougar, or Outback on the side — you own a Keystone. Probably America's most-sold fifth wheel brand. Here's the pattern.
Montana — the high-end flagship. Cougar — the mid-tier. Outback — the entry travel trailer. Hideout — the bargain. All Keystone. All same Goshen, Indiana factory complex.
Volume play. Keystone moves more units than any other Thor brand. Which means QC pressure is real. Their service network is the biggest in the country, which is good — until you realize that's a feature, not a bug. They need a giant service network because the rigs need a lot of service.
Common Keystone owner complaints — slide-out alignment, fresh-water tank cracks, gel-coat crazing on the exterior. Pull the owner forums. The pattern repeats.
Comment your Keystone model. Next Monday — Jayco. The Thor brand with the warranty that's marketed harder than the rig.
